I used CUPS.
The printer is connected via the USB1.1 connection
I chose the CANON BJC 8200, CUPS+Gimp-Print v4.2.5 driver.
Did a test page and colors were light. Fiddled with the various color and
saturation adjustments and now it works quite nicely.
I will have to admit, that it is slower to print but at least it does
print.
I now have to figure out how to get Mozilla to recognize it. The printer
works fine with other apps.
Figured out how to add i960 to Mozilla:
I'm using KDE.
In Mozilla
1. Click Print
2. Click Properties
3. Change print command to "kprinter --stdin"
Now when I go to print a Mozilla page, I get a second window with choices.
So far, so good.
