Hey everybody,

following those posts about torrents here the past days, I installed the recommended rtorrent on a NSLU2. It's awesome, but I ran into one problem: I logged in via SSH, and would like rtorrent to continue downloading when I close the SSH session (as this cannot be opened all day)..

Is this possible?

Thanks for your comments
Christina

You can always use screen or nohup.

With nohup, you run a command immune to hangups.

nohup command agrs

Will run the command "command" and pass it "args" If the terminal
closes, or the connection is lost, "command" continues to run.

Screen is even more fun. It allows you to detach a shell. You can
reconnect later, and jump right back into the shell you left. In the
description of the rtorrent program, it says it is "ideal to use with
screen"
