Hi all,

I'm trying to install FreeDOS on a notebook without Floppy and broken
CD-Drive; it currently runs Windows XP.
I created an extra partition for FreeDOS (primary partition, FAT32, 10
GB, E: in Windows) an extracted the contents of the FreeDOS-ISO to my
Windows-Partition (C:). I was able to install all packages to E: using
TEXTINST.EXE but can't boot into FreeDOS.
I read, that i needed to copy FREEDOS.BSS to my first partition (C:)
an alter boot.ini, but i can't find that file (FREEDOS.BSS).
Can anyone please tell me, where to get it?

Thanks in advance,

Ladde.

You need to write the bootsector. I do this on Linux using sys-freedos-
linux linked from the download page. You can boot Linux on a USB stick
and sys your partition.
