All of the Citrix Metaframe XP literature says that the connection
information is stored in files with the .ica extension.

While my connections all work perfectly, I see no such files on my
client machine. What's the story?

ica files are used only for NFUSE and webbrowser integration. If you don't
use these, you don't need ica-files.

What you are probably looking for is the APPSRV.INI file that is located in
each user's profile in Application Data\ICA Client. This contains all the
information for each connection that you configure in Program Neighborhood.

Then you will find the template.ia file, which is mentioned in the
administrator guides, in the following path:

C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\citrix\metaframe

and

C:\Program Files\Citrix\Nfuse

on the server where you installed the Nfuse software.

The ICA 32-bit for Windows does not need ICA files on the client. However
you can copy an *.ica file to the client and launch it, and the ICA 32-bit
for Windows client will then create a session based on the ICA file.
