possible to use vlc to show .wmv files?

My sister sent some inline .wmv file in an email but I couldnt figure out how to use vlc to see it.
Is it even possible to veiw windows encoded movie files on BeOS?

If it has DRM you can only see it in the Windows Media Player. Otherwise
VLC on BeOS should play it, unless it's broken.

Do you have Windows, Mac, Linux or other OS you can try to play it with?

It was sent inline with the email.
Had no clue how to see it in vlc. But I got the help files for vlc so I'll read up on it.

We have a new Vista laptop but since I downloaded the email onto my BeBox I didnt know how to get it to the Vista laptop.
