VAM SYSTEMS currently looking for Informix Database Administrator for
our Singapore operations with the following skill set and terms and
conditions.
Skill Set required:
Skills:
1. Min 1-2 years experience in Database Administration of Informix
Databases.
2. Scripting experience with Unix and/or Windows platforms (Shell/Perl/
Java script)
3. Database Administration experience with Oracle Databases
3. Trade interface applications that captured executed trades into
Back Office applications
4. Settlement Systems like Clearance & Settlements which track trade
settlements and interact with various custodians and banks for stock
and cash settlements
5. Messaging systems that communicate with Clients, Custodian, Banks
etc. via the SWIFT network
6. Trade Confirmation systems like CLS, Accord, FXALL, CMS that send
and mange trade confirmations to clients
7 .Reconciliation tools.
Responsibilities:
1. Installation / Configuration / Administration of Informix
Database.
2. Support Backup / Recovery issues for current production
environment.
3. Facilitate migration of production to DEV & UAT environments to
support testing. Includes performance tuning.
4. Support client connectivity software configuration including I-net
on Unix.
5. Support maintenance scripts for Informix database.
6. Support weekend maintenance jobs.
7. Secondary responsibilities will include:
8. First level user support globally for Treasury & Banking systems.
9. Responding to user queries for all aspects of the system and
related data.
10. Monitoring of systems for performance and stability.
11. Liaise with other technical areas to address technical as well as
functional issues.
12 Research and resolution for problems relating to trade feeds,
messaging links and data reports.
13. System support will encompass a wide range of technologies for
small-to-mid size applications.
Architectures include:
DB: Primary: Informix; Secondary: Oracle/Sybase/MS-SQL
Client: Powerbuilder/JAVA/WebLogic/ASP.NET
Server: Tuxedo/C/C++/Perl/C-Shell
OS: Solaris/Windows
Experience Required: 3-5yrs
Terms and conditions:
Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 4weeks)
