He tore the hell out of the beach for HIS movie? Get a clue. Leo Decaprio is an ACTOR. He is only an actor. He is a puppet of the director. Blaming Leo for environmental damage caused by a film production which he acted in is about as logical is blaming a particular brand of paint for causing environmental damage because an art gallery displaying an art painting that used this brand of paint was built on top of an estuary. Get a clue. If Leo turned down this movie, they would've found another actor to play the part. Leo had no say what-so-ever in any damage done to the beach. He's only an actor. Stop treating it as if this movie was his.
You conservatives always see things in black and white, because of your limited intelligence and inability to comprehend even the slightest amount of complexity.

Your problem is that you think everyone is a hypocrite because you lack
the intelligence to really comprehend the bigger picture. Face it Toby,
you're stupid.
Let's look at the facts:
Leonardo DiCaprio had the role of lead actor in this movie. He had no
other roles listed in the credits. This meant that he wasn't in the
production meetings talking with the construction crew or the set
designers who made the terrible decision to trash that place.
Leo probably didn't have any clue what was happening there until he read
about it in the mainstream news.
Actors are skin props. That's what us techies call them. They don't
make any decisions regarding set construction. The whole notion that he
is somehow responsible because this is "his" film is ludicrous! That
would be like the technical director (who's in charge of building the
sets) telling Leo how to act. This just isn't done. This movie is not
Leo's movie. It's Twentieth Century Fox's. Leo is just one of
thousands of people that were involved in this movie. Of everyone
involved in the film making process, actors are usually at the very
bottom of the of the decision making hierarchy.
By blaming Leo for this disaster, you're taking away attention from who
should, and did take the heat for this- the producers Callum McDougall
and Andrew Macdonald. While they may not have even known about how much
the island got trashed, as producers they are the ones who are
ultimately responsible. "The beach" is really their film much more than
anyone else's, because they are at the top of the decision making
process. But the movie first and foremost belongs to Twentieth Century
Fox.

Oh please, Leo probably didn't have any clue what was happening.
Typically talent do not see the set until after it's been constructed.
Leo was not there with the carpenters telling them what to do, or
telling them that he thinks they should use a different types of trees.
Actors are usually the last ones to arrive to a shooting location.
> If this movie isn't his asswipe-then who's movie is it?
Duh, it's Twentieth Century Fox's movie. That's the first thing you see
on the movie print. They even made a nice picture logo so even the most
stupid people (like yourself) could grasp the understanding that this
movie belongs to to Twentieth Century Fox. If this movie was indeed
Leo's, like you claim, than i'm sure Leonardo would have a spiffy logo
trailer at the top of the movie. Did you see this?
> Another question, do you really think that Leo has NO say in the
> movies?
Of course. He's a skin prop. I'm sure he has a lot of clout, but Leo
is not sitting there in the production meeting talking about production
elements of the film. The pace of film making is so fast that he
probably had no idea what was happening until after the movie was
finished. You clearly have no 'behind the scenes' experience. So quit
acting like you do.

The only loosing cause is arguing with someone as stupid as you. I'm
sure i could spoon feed you all the facts in the world that support the
truth. But because you've already made up your narrow little mind, and
because of your untamed ego, you'll never concede to the fact that
you're clearly wrong. In fact you find the whole notion that of a
liberal hippie proving you wrong so repugnant, that you'll make up any
facts and stories to support your views.
> You liberals interject feeling and emotions because you can't deal

* Shakes his head in despair and disbelief *
I can't believe people this stupid exist in our world. Do you really
think i was talking about race here? Good god, if you did, this world
is really a depressing place indeed. The idea that such stupidity at
that level really exists in this world is really depressing.
Look Toby, read a book, and try to better educate yourself. And what
ever you do don't have any litter. The world doesn't need any more
people like yourself running around barking about things you know
nothing about.

Socialist? You think i'm that conservative? I'm way farther off the deap end
than that buddy!

Of course. He's a director's puppet, who you're trying to blame for the fck ups
of the producers of the film he acted in. I'm defending him against your
accusations that he somehow had a clue as to what was happening.

Hey man, i've never admitted to being intelligent. But i know stupidity when i
see it!
> I don't think you've proven me

I work as an audio engineer for a professional theatre. I have many years
experience in technical theatre. While i've never worked on films directly, i'm
quite familiar with how their hierarchy is. Most of it is very similar to
theatre.
Additionally, i'd like to say that your request for nude pics of Julia butterfly
was sick, twisted, and uncalled for.

WOOHOO!!!!!
Why don't the whole lot of you treehuggers, eco-nazis, liberals, socialists and
whatever else you call yourselves and take your hypocrisy and stick where the
sun doesn't shine!
