Over the past couple of weeks, I've posted three times to Usenet groups from
my MSN TV account. Only one of the three ever showed up on my AT&T newsfeed
or on Google, although all three made it onto the MSN TV feed. Can servers
providing a Usenet feed killfile a domain, or is this another MSN TV glitch?

**However** this is most likely simply a glitch of some sort.

Hi Howard,
I don't think mine always post either. I
don't think anyone on webtv sees my posts.

The problem of Usenet posts from computer accounts not appearing on the
WebTV reader is an old one, and apparently not a high priority item with
Microsoft. I'd never had the reverse problem before the posts I made from
the Webby the past few weeks never made it to AT&T.

I've been having the same problem. The last date when my newsgroup
posts went through normally was March 5. Over the next week or so
after that date, I made eight newsgroup posts; none show up on Google,
and none seem to be visible to anyone using a non-WebTV/MSNTV
newsreader. I've sent a few posts in the last couple of days via
Google, and they have gone through all right (I'm also sending this
post via Google). All of this sounds to me like some kind of an
internal problem at WebTV/MSNTV.

Internal problem or deliberate action by MSN to keep MSN TVers in the
"walled garden" of MSN newsgroups. I hope it's just a glitch...

It's known as the "Pfister-Pfactor".

Whenever Deb ("Clubs_Gossip") finds her way outside the firewall and starts
to impose her reign-of-terror on Usenet, MSNTV temporarily suspends the
propagation of posts originating from WebTV terminals. Once they rein her
back in, things will get back to normal.

It's a rather mild gesture in the direction of minimizing any further
blemishes on the character of WebTV users as a whole. She's not to be seen
as typical or in any way representative of the subscribership.
