POP3 server (postoffice.pacbell.net) seems to be down ...

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this
include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Thats why I pulled an old retired computer from the closet and set it up
to do my own serving. That was over 5 years ago and Ive never regretted
it. I cant even consider going back to having limits on my email sizes,
storage, how many web domains, waiting for an ftp server, having to ask
in order to add new features and services to my webpages.

I used PacBell as a "more stable on the net backup server" for all of my
services while I played with the idea but over time thats become
laughable also. They are still my secondarys but I probably should change
to something that actually is more stable than my little system in my
kitchen.
