This is a Public Service Announcement

Honest to gawd, Comcasts current teevee ad campaign is a sure sign of
desperation. They must be getting their brains beaten in where Verizon has
infrastructure. I don't know that it's necessarily indicative, but in my
immediate neighborhood of ~230 homes the switch rate is approaching 90% after
just one year.

Must be a crap ton of hand wringing down in Philly these days, hence the
current POS advertising campaign, where they simply lie without anything to
back them up. Usually an effective tactic to keep the customer base frozen in
place, but they're taking the bullshit to a whole new level these days.

Network performance on FiOS is so superior to Comcasts offerings in this area
that it's like comparing fiber transport to long-distance DSL. And, wrt teevee
programming, with Comcast it was "just how much can they compress my favorite
show and still be watchable with all the artifacting?" Never seems to be even
apparent on the same channels carried via FiOS.

Bottom line, I can't imagine how anyone with a choice would stick with
Comcast. I'd switch just on principle to not allow those Comcast farktards to
count me as a customer.

That is all.

You're already lying. It's a public whine. Be honest. You feel
better now after your rant?

Whining about commercials. Really, commercials now to whine about?

More whining about commercials. Dislikes Comcasts so he hopes they're
suffering.

Whining about someone else having faster service. Speed envy.

Whining about something he can't or won't get. Penis envy.

So how long have you been working for Verizon?

After about 4-5 weeks of no sound dropouts and no picture break up, it's
baaaaack. Comcast has returned to it's normal shitty service.

As for the ads, it seems a violation of something, maybe ethics, that I
should be paying for comcast's lousy service and simultaneously be forced to
watch a few thousand of their idiotic ads.

To the troll: I don't work for verizon, don't even like verizon, and have no
option here for verizon.

I'm across the (Delaware) river and a comcast TV/internet subcriber. My
Verizon (land line) phone has been converted to fiber optic.

The cable company exists for the purpose of getting revenue. There are a
finite number of 'slots' for commercials. Im sure that comcast would
rather have a fee-paying customer (revenue) running a commercial, than a
write-off (in-house) commerical.

BTW- have no love for comcast.

You're forgetting Comcrap is the carrier not the station. Comcrap is paying
the cable station or the local station to run its ads.

So you're across the river - as was I until 2010. Were you around when
comcast lost the last three innings of the first home world series game the
Phillies played in god knows how many years? Not sure, but I think it was
'07.

Often, a satellite station that sells national commercials has a deal with
the cable distributor allowing locally sold commercials to pre-empt
national commercials, sometimes for areas as small as the territory
served by a single head end. Comcast has sold those local commercials.
