When I upgraded to HD from Comcast they provided me with a new cable
box. This one is made by Cisco and replaces the one made by
Scientific Atlanta.

I have a universal remote that I want to use with this cable box. The
code listed for Comcast that came with the Cisco box gives 01982 as
the code to use. There is no Cisco listing. This number does not
work when used with my universal remote(Philips) which uses 4 digits
for its codes. I tried 1982, but that does not work.

Anyone know how to setup a universal remote to address this cable box?

Thanks, that is a good site. The number given there did not work so I
have come to the concllusion that my remote does not have code or
programming for this new cable box from Comcast. From elsewhere I
have learned that 1982 is the new code, so I am looking for a
programmable remote like the Harmony 200.(my Philips rejects that code
as not in its database)

Thanks for your help.
