Probably nothing. On a DVR, if Comcast enabled it, you could
potentially use it to download shows or attach external storage. I'm
not sure what purpose it might serve on a non-DVR box -- it might simply
be that the manufacturer uses the same box for both DVR and ordinary STB.

According to the DCX3200 user manual, the USB 2.0 host ports (front and rear)
can support a wide range of devices, from media storage through iPods - if
enabled.
But if past is prologue, they will do absolutely nothing on the Comcast
system...
It's part of the stock hardware, and is not enabled as far as using a
device connected to it. About all it's good for is to power something
like a cooling fan or light, or charge some devices.
The eSATA and Ethernet ports on the back are also typically disabled.
