Other than m.n.i.discuss, what other news groups that you post in are
relatively active? I'm tired of looking through scores of dead/spam
news groups. Most political groups like alt.politics are painful to read.

misc.news.internet.discuss, I use mostly, and a pinch on sci.misc

There is an UK home improvement group that is active...

Usenet is mostly dead...I've never tried to look for active groups.

When AT&T quit supporting Usenet, and as WWW forums came online,
Usenet took a plunge.

Yeah, I've noticed it's pretty well dead. I was honestly shocked that
you replied to my first post here; I didn't think anyone monitored this
newsgroup anymore... I wish that AT&T still provided access. I'd be
more inclined to keep my DSL internet connection if they did. Retention
on Eternal September is not good. It's hard to argue with free, however.

rec.food.cooking is very alive and well. rec.woodworking ,
rec.arts.comics.strips , and comp.misc are alive and still used for
their intended purposes. "Your" group is the only political/news group
that I've found which isn't spammed constantly with garbage.
