Hi, I have read Tarot cards off and on for the past thirty years or so. I
have only used them among friends, never once for money, and never to gain
influence or for any other reason then for pleasure of my friends and
myself. I have two decks, both of which were given to me.A week ago I lost
electric power, because of Hurricane Isabel and one night when it was out I
had several friends over and we used the Tarot and had some great results.

Everyone of us had a great time. One of the women that I did a reading for
claimed "I" was right on target with her reading. Since then she has
repeated said that it helped her a great deal. She and her hubby recently
bought an old, but quite nice house in an area of my state, Maryland, that
once was much more densely populated than it is today. Knowing this, and
after having a good deal of fun using the Tarot, I suggested that we have a
séance to break in the new place. This suggestion was immediately greeted
with a 50/50 mix of enthusiasm and terror.

We are planning to hold the séance on November 1, which is All saints Day. I
have never run a séance either, but, I do want to "get it right". I will be
making some "Holy Water*" from a creek that runs past this house. I intend
to get candles, spread the Tarot several times, ask the spirits to come
forth, use a home made Ouija board, etc. The property and adjacent land has
a lot of history too. One lot over was a jail, and most of the foundation is
still there. Some people in the neighborhood claim they have heard yelling
from that area at night, but my friends have not. Also, there is a kid that
lives next door. This kid has an "imaginary" friend named "Jake", and the
kids talks and plays with Jake frequently. Very recently this kids parents
did a title search and a bit of historical research and found that there
indeed was a man named Jake that lived there for almost his entire life. At
any rate there is more history than we know.

I want this to be fun, and maybe even get the kind of willies that people
can get from a horror movie, but none of us wants to wake up anything evil.
Are there any people here that have done this kind of thing that could
suggest things to do to help this thing really work well, while not waking
up anything evil. We are not doing this to make fun of anyone, any spirit,
or anything else. A few pointers couldn't hurt.
Thanks in advance,
Bruce

'Spirit' world is vast and much like our own world - good & bad reside.
"Guard" yourselves before, either with a mantra or the Lords Prayer.

Personally I wouldn't undertake this unless someone was there that had some
experience --- but having said that, in my youthful past I did undertake
such communications and had some very good results.

My advice would be ----- treat with respect yourselves and any entities you
may encounter. Keep it under control & don't take it lightly and be
reverent.....use instinct....... it's not often these coming togethers
happen - I wish you all well and I wish a good "coming together" for you all
:)

Best wishes
Pip

Bruce,

I'll echo Pip's comments, but in a stronger way.

I'd advise against any such undertaking at all, guards or no guards.

David
