Phil Knight's Son Dies In Diving Accident

PORTLAND -- The oldest son of Nike founder Phil Knight
died during a weekend diving trip off the coast of El
Salvador.
A Nike spokesman told KOIN 6 News that 34-year-old
Matthew Knight was working with a nonprofit organization in
El Salvador. Details of Sunday's accident were not
immediately available.

Matthew Knight was a graduate of Hillsboro High
School. In addition to his parents, Phil and Penny Knight,
Matthew Knight is survived by his wife, Angie, and their two
sons, 3-year-old Logan and 6-month-old Dylan.

A brother, Travis, and a sister, Christina, are both
30.
