The results of his autopsy have not been released. It is not clear yet if JD
overdosed on heroin, intentionally or accidentally, or if he injected some
tainted product, or if the heroin conflicted with medication he took regularly.
In short, it is not clear whether he committed suicide or died accidentally.

Ram/Perry was featured in the last night's episode of MTV's "True Life" which
took a close look at the adult film industry.

I don't recall anyone asking anyone to care.

You can take this for what it's worth...but I've seen a LOT of porn films in
my time, and I've never heard of the guy. Any titles of videos he's been in?

This is probably not a complete list- but this is part of an article on the
adult film stars who have recently tested positive for HIV.
From http://www.lukeford.com/d63.html:
Five stars in American heterosexual porn tested HIV positive in 1998 - Kimberly
Jade, Marc Wallice, Caroline, Brooke Ashley and Tricia Devereaux. Veteran
Wallice is widely thought to be the source of infection for everyone this year
(having engaged on camera in unprotected anal sex with the infected girls), and
possibly Nena Cherry, and Barbara Doll in past years. Jordan Mc Knight and John
Stagliano have also tested positive.
Unconfirmed reports, one from Europe and one from New York, say that leading
male performer Rocco Siffredi has tested HIV positive. Rocco's American
distributor Evil Angel totally denies this report.
A porn performer named Dusty disappeared in November 1992 and is widely thought
to have tested HIV positive. Carrie Morgan left the industry in Spring 1993
for a similar reason.
Looks like they did just that (run)....
In this "day and age" you would think there would be some way of protecting oneself
or at least making using protection "sexy" for the porn market. I can't believe
the money's worth the risk.
A friend of mine, who *used* to be a real studly night-owl suddenly changed his
ways around '85 (he was heterosexual...gleefully so). He became VERY sexually
reclusive almost overnight. I bluntly asked him about it a couple of years later
and he admitted to paranoia. I thought he put it perfectly (if graphically) when
he told me, "being promiscuous these days is like dipping it in ground glass."
He may not see much "action" these days, but he's still around -- and healthy.
I was shocked to hear so many adult film stars had tested positive so recently.
I had thought that wearing condoms was just a fact of life in these films-- but
after reading that interview with Brooke Ashley (who stated she was told the
day of the shoot that per her contract only half the guys would be wearing
condoms) I realize that they are practically as unsafe as ever. Senseless.
Thank you. Always glad to contribute.
So in effect she signed a contract to make a time-release snuff film...
If you re-read my post you will see named the web sites that I got the info
from-- perhaps you should take it up with the sources I listed.
Thanks,
Terri
