MONTROSE, AL.

Myrtle ""Dickie"" Stock Stanky, age 92, a native and longtime resident of
Mobile, and a current resident of Montrose, the epitome of a true, gracious
and loving southern lady, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011, in the
home of her daughter, surrounded by her family.

Dickie lived a long, fruitful, fun filled life overlooking Mobile Bay, until
her final inning. She enjoyed playing golf, participating in jubilees as
well as performing in local plays at Springhill College. She also coached
young athletes in basketball and track at the Convent of Mercy Catholic High
School in Mobile, AL.

Mrs. Stanky was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Eddie Stanky,
daughter, Georgia Stanky Jacob, son, Danny Stanky, parents, Milton [1] and
Mae Stock, Sr. and brother Milton Stock, Jr..

She is survived by her four children, Beverly Stanky Corte and her husband
Angelo Arthur, of Fairhope, AL, Michael Edward Stanky and his wife Mary
Nell, of Mabank, TX, Kay Stanky Flarity-Neese and her husband Terry, of
Daphne, AL, Marianne Stanky Davenport and her husband Paul, of Fairhope,
nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, her long time companion, Ola
Mae Bradley, many extended family members and numerous life-long friends.

A special thanks to the Covenant Hospice team for all their comfort and
support as well as the care given to our mother by the professional staff of
Thomas Hospital.

The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, AL,
Wednesday, November 15, 2011, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Mass of Christian
Burial will be held from St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Mobile, AL,
Thursday, November 17, 2011, 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the
church from 10:00am until service time. Interment will follow in The
Catholic Cemetery, Mobile, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Covenant
Hospice, Children's Bereavement Camp, 1040 Stanton Road, Daphne, AL 36532,
www.covenanthospice.org Or Camp Rap A Hope, 2701 Airport Boulevard, Mobile,
AL 36606, www.camprapahope.org .
