Famed Marathi film actor Janardhan Ganpatrao Bhutkar, popularly known
as Rajshekhar, passed away at his residence here today. Rajshekhar had
been suffering from asthama. He was 69 and is survived by his wife and
three children.
Late film-maker Bhalji Pendharkar gave Rajshekhar the break following
which he had acted in over 150 films during the last four decades. He
portrayed the role of villian in the films.
Among the notable films in which he acted were ''Warnecha Wagh'',
''Mohityanchi Manjula'', ''Pathlag'', ''Lakhat Ashee Dekhani'',
''Karave Tashe Bharave'', ''Kunko Mazha Bhagyacha'', and ''Sakhya
Sajana''. He had also acted in dramas and a few Hindi television
serials.
