A Pittsburgh native, she was the only person to co-anchor
a news program with her father (the late Bill Burns),
a job she did for over 10 years.
She was very active in local charities.

Jeez. Not a good week for PA anchors. How's Larry Kane doing?

In Washington, local co-anchor Tracey Neale (WTTG Channel 5) has
recently had surgery and will be on medical leave for at least six
weeks. The station won't say what's wrong with Neale, nor what kind of
surgery she had.
Very bad p.r. move, that, if you're a news operation that frequently
offers intrusive reports on other people's health.
I think Bogut still has a radio show, but
not on KDKA. Cigna is retiring from KDKA radio
by the end of the year.

I'm not sure.

I remember when Patti and her Dad Bill Burns used
to anchor the KDKA News At Noon. It was the highest
rated noon broadcast, in terms of percentage of viewers,
in the country.(Their ratings were somewhere around 90% for the time
period.)
What about Jack Bogat and John Cigna?

Yep, Cigna will still work in some capacity at KDKA,
but not full time in the AM.
Bill Currie and Marie Torre?
Good question-haven't heard from "Sweet Ol' Bill" since
he was on the WDVE Morning Show in the early/mid
90's for their Valentine's Day show, on which he actually
married the couple who won the stations contest. Not sure
if he was also a Minister or a Justice Of The Peace.
Only remotely related but of note is the fact that another former KDKA
employee, Chris Bailey, KDKA radio producer, passed away on the same
day. Cancer. She was in her mid 30s.

Hallelujah.
