ST. LOUIS (AP)--Frank W. Zwygart Sr., better known as longtime broadcaster
Rex Davis on radio giant KMOX, died Saturday of complications from cancer.
He was 90.
Zwygart, once the man who many considered to be the voice of St. Louis,
moved to the city in 1946 to become a news broadcaster for KMOX radio.

Zwygart spent many years hosting the Total Information program, a morning
news show heard by a quarter of a million listeners.

The voice of Rex Davis was a mainstay until he retired in 1981 at the age of
71. His retirement was short-lived. In 1985, he returned to KMOX and became
a part-time voice on the late Bob Hardy's morning show.

In addition to Susanne Zwygart, his wife of almost 70 years, his survivors
include a daughter, a son, two sisters, five grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren
