To those of you who saw Oliver Stone's movie JFK, the character played
by Donald Sutherland, called simply "X" in the movie was based largely
on Fletch Prouty.
His two books, "The Secret Team" (1973) and "JFK: The CIA, Vietnam and
the Plot to Assassinate John F. Kennedy" (1992) are cornerstones in the
literature of the Assassination and of American Espionage.
I always found Fletch to be open, honest, above-board and most of all,
knowledgeable.
I, and the assassination research community will miss him.
