Former National Geographic photographer Craig Aurness died Tuesday,
December 14, at Kaiser Hospital in Panorama City, Los Angeles.

Born November 20, 1946, he was one of the sons of actor James Arness

On Craig Aurness' website, they talk about how Craig gave up photography and
he and his wife started raising alpacas. www.aurnessalpacas.com
Craig was the son of Arness' first wife. In the early 60's Arness sued for
and got custody of Craig, along with his other 2 children. His daughter
committed suicide in the 70's, despondent over a broken romance with Gregg
Allman.
Very sorry to hear another tragedy has hit James Arness and his family.
