What a shame.
George Trapp was named the CIF (California Interscholastic Federation)
player of the year in 1967, while playing center for Monrovia High
School in the Los Angeles area. He went on to Long Beach State, before
turning pro, and, also had a brother named John, who played
professionaly with the LA Lakers.
I had the opportunity to play high school sports with several people who
became professional athletes: Bob Chandler and George Buehler from
Whittier H.S, and Fair Hooker and George Trapp from Monrovia. They were
all exceptional athletes and nice young men, I'm saddened to learn of
George's death. Vaya con Dios, amigo.
