WARREN

Joe Clifford Caffie, 80, 447 Third St. S.W., died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at
his home.

He was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Warren, the son of Willie and Florence Mays
Caffie.
Mr. Caffie was a laborer for 37 years at Thomas Steel.

He was a member of New Jerusalem Fellowship Church and once played in the
Cleveland Indians farm system. [1]

Survivors include two daughters, Ta-Tarnya Caffie of Haverhill, Mass., and
Tracey Winbush of Youngstown; two grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.

Deceased are three sisters.

Arrangements are being handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral
Home.

[1] Played parts of two seasons in the major leagues, with the Indians, and
