Edmund "Ed" (or "Eddie") Villa, an assistant property master on many
Hollywood films, died on May 29 at the age of 69. He worked on several John
Hughes movies, including 'Weird Science,' 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off,' 'Some
Kind of Wonderful,' 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles,' and 'She's Having a
Baby.' He also worked on such films as 'Scarface,' 'Ghostbusters II,' 'Die
Hard 2,' 'The Last Boy Scout,' and 'Lethal Weapon 3.'

Eddie passed away after a brief illness on Sunday May 29 at the age of 69.
Eddie was born at Queen of Angels Hospital. He grew up in the Silverlake
area of Los Angeles and had been a resident of Culver City for the past 45
years. Eddie worked as a Prop Master in the Motion Picture and Television
industry for over 40 years. He loved nothing more than a good bottle of
wine, a great meal, and a fine cigar.
Eddie is survived by his wife Kathleen R. Villa, five children, and eight
grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Gates, Kingsley & Gates, 4220 Sepulveda
Blvd., Culver City, Ca. 90230 on Saturday June 18 at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital.
