Jackie Chan's father, Charles, has died at a Hong Kong hospital. He
was 93.
The mainland news website Sina.com said Charles Chan passed away on
Tuesday. He had just celebrated his 93rd birthday in December,
according to his son's official website.
Jackie Chan was filming in the northeastern city of Changchun and was
not able to return to Hong Kong in time to see his father before he
died.
Charles Chan had suffered from prostate cancer. He will be buried
alongside his late wife in Australia, where he once worked as the head
cook at the US embassy.
