I was going to ask if that was the same Magee Hickey who's a TV
reporter, but I decided to google it for myself. It is. She married
S. Richolson Salembier in May 1983, and it turns out that I even used
to know the priest who did the ceremony. FWTW.

Ferrer is where Magee got married, too. It's on Lex between 65th and
66th.

Ah yes,the WNBC reporter who said flat out on the air that
the previously-leaked name of "the Central Park Jogger" had
not been released.

: Hickey was born April 13, 1923, in Brooklyn, and later attended
: Brooklyn College. She also studied drama at Columbia University and

: She performed in more than 200 productions, including Broadway's 1970

: She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Hickey, and four children.

Her photo appeared several days running (usually there is none,
and even twice is very unusual) in the paid death notices of the
NY Times (finally stopped today, when the section had lots of Brooke
Astor notices)...apparently a photo taken closer to the beginning
than the end of her attributed 1944-2005 Broadway career.

A couple of mentions slipped through, including
one on the late and lamented WNYC-tv channel 31
news summary, but aside from the Amsterdam News,
Ms. Meilli's name was redacted from press coverage.

Essentially the first day's news cycle included it except in media
with firm never-publish policies...then her parents demanded that
it stop.

I'm pretty sure I heard it on WNBC before Hickey said they had
never said it.
