Janet Paula, 67 of Hoboken passed away peacefully at the Jersey City Medical Center on Monday, November 13th. Janet was a Real Estate Sales Representative for Liberty Realtors on Washington Street for more than 20 years in the Hoboken office. Janet also founded her own business, "Fountain of Youth Body Oil", with great internet success.
After graduating from Hoboken High School, Janet attended Parisian Beauty Academy where she specialized in cosmetology. Janet was the Miss November 1975 centerfold for Playboy magazine, chosen from a large group of candidates for that distinguished feature. She loved the city of Hoboken and all of the people in it.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her only son, Joseph P. Lupo, her brother John P. Lupo, a sister Margaret "Margie" Terrigno and her husband Tony, as well as a sister-in-law, Gerri Lupo. She was predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe Lupo and Pauline (nee O'Donnell) and a brother Joseph A. Lupo. Relatives and friends are respectively invited to the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 22nd at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken at 10AM.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington, New Jersey. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21st, beginning at 3PM and concluding at 9PM at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Valet parking available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street.
