" 'Family Ties' Star Brian Bosnell Dies of Apparent Drug Overdose"
[misspelled his last name]

March 16, 2014 by US Magazine

Brian Bonsall -- who famously played Andrew -- the youngest cast mate of the
iconic television sitcom "Family Ties." -- died early Sunday morning in
Torrance, CA ... he was 32 years old.

According to police in Torrance, the former child actor was found dead in
his Cabrillo Hotel room around 11 a.m. Bosnall was discovered by
housekeeping staff after he failed to return his hotel key card after his
check-out time.

Officials said the actor was "clearly deceased" -- and had been so for
several hours -- when police arrived on the scene.

Cops say Bosnall checked-in to the Cabrillo Hotel on March 14th and was
scheduled to leave March 16th. Bosnall was reportedly in town visiting
family and friends. According to friends, Bosnell is originally from
Torrance and visits often.

The night before his death, the former child star was seen in his room
hanging with friends, before hitting the town -- but came back to his hotel
room early Saturday morning ... alone.

Cops say "it was not immediately apparent" what caused his death, but no
foul play is suspected. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

A family friend of the actor says they are "in shock and mourning this
tragic loss."

Brian Bonsall, who played the Keaton's fourth child Andrew in the show's
last two seasons, made headlines of a different just last week. The
32-year-old was arrested in Colorado for investigation of an assault.

According to Colorado Daily, Bonsall was picked up by police last Saturday
at the home of his best friend Micheal Trujillo. Both had been drinking
heavily and arguing loudly. According to the arrest report obtained by
Colorado Daily, Bonsall struck Trujillo with a splintered bar stool, but
remembers nothing.

"Bonsall then said that he and Trujillo both are bipolar and like drugs,"
the report said. "Bonsall said he takes a lot of drugs and sometimes those
drugs make him forget things."

Perhaps Bonsall, whose face and neck are covered with numerous tattoos and
piercings, was trying to forget his brief success as cute Little Andy.
Sadly, he's followed the route of many former child actors.

Since playing the youngest sibling on "Family Ties," Bonsall has bounced
around Boulder, Colo. According to Fox News, he never graduated from high
school, instead forming a rock band, "Late Bloomers," in 1998.

His death comes after a slew of mounting legal troubles, including a DUI and
assault on his girlfriend. Colorado authorities were even reportedly
preparing new charges against him for violating his parole, according to the
Colorado Daily. When
Bonsall failed to appear at his most recent hearing, a warrant was issued
for his arrest.

Bonsall was facing new third-degree assault charges and just recently was
being held at the Boulder County Jail. He was due to appear in court March
28th.

When asked by TMZ Today about his troubles with police and drug use, He
explained that his drug use consists of "Anything and everything, as much as
possible." Adding, "I have a serious problem. I'm not denying any of it."

Sadly, Bosnell joins a long list of child actors that succumbed to the
stresses life after stardom frequently brings.

Another idiot druggie child actor overdoses.
When will these actor jerks ever learn?

It's a fake US Magazine site with misspellings and fake stories like
Betty White DEAD and Selena Gomez PREGNANT.

It's not *really* US Magazine?
I didn't know Betty died and Selena is expecting twins. :)

Strange that a lot of wording in that "news" item sounds precisely like one reporting
the death of Cory Monteith last summer.
