Not only did the gal who played Barney's gal make it to 96 before expiring yesterday in northern North Carolina, but Lynn died in Mt. Airy, where she had lived for 15 years.
That's of course the hometown of the star* of The Andy Griffith Show AND the burg which was fictionalized** as Mayberry, the North Carolina setting for the iconic sitcom.

* Whose quaint yellow-painted single-story boyhood home a mile or so southeast of downtown is these days is a bed-and-breakfast.
** The Mt. Airy area is rather hilly, even in its central business district, whereas Mayberry seemed to be maybe a third its size and appeared to viewers to be quite flat...as you'd expect given the Culver City-adjacent backlot at which the series was filmed.
