A former Wausau resident who was named the city’s first “Woman of
Tomorrow” has died in a car crash in Las Vegas.

Sarah L. Andraski, 30, of Las Vegas died Jan. 9, according to an
obituary released today by the family.

Andraski had attended Wausau East High School when she was chosen
during the annual YWCA “Women of Vision” recognition program as the
first “Woman of Tomorrow.”

Andraski then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison prior to
moving west with her husband, Chris Poverski. In her career, Andraski
focused her energies on serving troubled youths and people who were
mentally ill.

She is survived, among others, by her parents Jeanne Kohlbeck of
Wausau and Kenneth Andraski, also of Wausau.
