SAM BADHAM AND LEE HARRIS were travelling together on the Piccadilly
Line when the bomb exploded. She died on July 7, 2005, aged 36. He died
in the Royal London Hospital on July 16, 2005, aged 30.

Sam Badham was a secretary. Usually she drove to work, but on July 7
she decided to accompany her partner, Lee Harris, an architect, on the
Tube. His normal travel plans would see him cycle from their home in
Tottenham to his office in Central London. But he was planning to
attend a site meeting near Heathrow later in the day - too far to
cycle. Their plan was to meet up for drinks and a romantic meal in the
evening.

Sam Badham was from Ledbury in Herefordshire. She attended Ledbury
Primary School and John Masefield High School. Lee Harris grew up in
Westfields, Hereford, and went to Holmer Primary School and Whitecrosse
High School. Both attended Hereford Sixth Form College, but they met at
Hereford Lads' Club when Harris was preparing for his Duke of
Edinburgh Silver Award.

Harris's family had informally adopted Badham when her own parents
died some years ago. Together Badham and Harris moved to London.

Badham died in the explosion. Harris never regained consciousness and
died in the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel nine days later....

I'm a regular reader and occasional contributor to alt.obituaries, but I
hadn't realised until this morning that Sam Badham was one of the 7/7
casualties. My first job here in the UK was at Quantime Ltd, a market research
software house. Sam was PA to the Chairman, and stayed on after Quantime was
sold to SPSS in 1998. She was still working there when she was killed in the
attack. She was a real sweetie, a real ray of sunshine in the office, and I'm
very sad that she died in this way.
