ENCINO, California (AP) < Anna Karen Morrow, an actress who had a regular
role on the prime-time soap opera "Peyton Place" and also appeared on
Broadway, in films and on numerous other television shows, has died. She was
94. Morrow died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, said her son-in-law, Darrell
Christian.

Wife of late actor Jeff Morrow. No relation to Patricia Morrow who
had a larger role on P P. IIRC, Patricia's character was the token
"girl from the wrong side of the tracks."

Thanks for straightening that out, Ray. I remember Pat Morrow on
"Peyton Place" well and knew that she couldn't be 94. I used to watch
"PP" for the divinely beautiful Barbara Parkins, but Pat Morrow,
though she might have been from the wrong side of the tracks, but also
very much the girl next door.

Anna Karen played Anna (or Alma?) Chernak, the maid in the Peyton
house ... the mother of Lee Grant's and Don Quine's characters, and
wife of Bruce Gordon's. A small role, not always credited. After the
Chernak storyline ended, Rose Hobart replaced her as a different maid.

Brings back the childhood memories does that show. I drive past a
property called Peyton Place, near Mittagong NSW every day. The
images, the images !
