Marvin Douglas Brown, one of the men convicted in the
murder David "Stringbean" Akeman and his wife, Estelle,
died Wednesday, January 8th, of natural causes. Brown
was being held at the Brushy Mountain Correctional
Complex in Tennessee. He was 52.

Marvin Brown and his brother, John, were arrested and
convicted after killing the Akemans during a home invasion
robbery in 1973. The Akemans lived outside of Nashville,
Tennessee.

John Brown is still in prison.
