I just purchased a CD of a King Buiscuit performance by an old
favorite (The Waitresses). In the liner notes, it mentions that their
vocalist, Patty Donahue, died in late 1996 after a serious illness.
This saddened me, as I have always loved her singing.

Does anyone here have any information regarding the circumstances of
her death? I tried the WWW and found nothing.

Thanks,

Rich Kegarise

I believe it was lung cancer. Butler released a statement via internet shortly
after her death, saying something about her being a long-time chainsmoker.

She died in December 1996 of lung cancer. She was only 40.
