Mexican TV star Eduardo Palomo dies at 41

DATELINE: GLENDALE, California

AP

Eduardo Palomo, the sexy, long-haired Mexican television star known for
1993's "Corazon Salvaje" and other serials, has died. He was 41.

Palomo, who had moved to California several years ago to pursue a career in
Hollywood, suffered a heart attack Saturday while dining at a restaurant,
according to the networks Television Azteca and Univision.

Palomo earned what was considered his best-known role, as Juan de Diablo in
"Corazon Salvaje" ("Wild Heart"), by dyeing his hair from brown to black and
growing it long - a fan-pleasing look he decided to keep.

His long list of TV series credits start in 1982 and include "Por Amor," "Mi
Querido Tom Mix" ("My Dear Tom Mix") and "Ramona."

Palomo appeared in the U.S. TV series "Kingpin" that aired this year and in
"A Day Without a Mexican," a 2004 project reportedly in post-production.

A resident of suburban Glendale, Palomo was scheduled to be the guest
speaker Sunday at the Hispanic Film Festival in Los Angeles.

He is survived by his wife, Mexican actress Karina Ricco, and children
Fiona, 6, and Luca, 4. Funeral plans were not immediately announced.
