Wilson was recently working on a new TV series and had signed a
comedy
development deal with 20th Century Fox.
He is remembered for his guest appearances on "Spin City" and "The
Tonight Show."
A native of Queens, Wilson graduated from Queens College and later
taught at a Catholic grammar school. He then became a high school
teacher and used comedic skills in the classroom, leading to a solid
career as a comedian.
In 1996, Wilson was invited by the Chairman of the New York Friar's
Club Roast to perform at the New York Roast for Kelsey GrammerKelsey
Grammer. A year later, he was named one of the "97 People To Look Out
For In 1997."
He is survived by his mother, father, brother and fiancee.

BTW - Father Polloi posted annual "That's Life" Star Dead message on
April Fools Day as usual this year. And, as usual, his post failed to
mention the date of Gerry Red Wilson's death and had nothing to do
with the anniversary of the death.
