Former teen idol, and now admitted heroin addict, Leif Garrett was
interviewed on Good Morning America this morning by Diane Sawyer. All
I can say is both mother and son looked pretty bad. She looks like
she's done a drug store in her lifetime and he's now sporting a
biker-type look, complete with head-covering bandana and burly beard.

This guy is better known as a hype than as a "teen idol."

Yep. A drugstore and a few pharmaceutical warehouses ...

He's bald on the top. A long way from his teen idol days ...

Danny B. (played Danny Partridge) said, that from here on out when Garret is
discussed; his mug shot will be the picture the media will use. Garretts,
mother said that was mean and that the media would not do that. She came
across thinking everyone is going to see Leif the way she does.... as a
little boy. That is how I took the interview this morning.... Mom needs a
reality check. Her son needs major help and I am not talking about 30 days
in a recovery center. He needs to be there for at least a year.....

bald on top is rather becoming

I'd like to know how his sister Dawn Lyn (Dodie on the later unfunny years
of My Three Sons) is doing.

Wayne and Merrill Osmond appear to have almost Trumpesque comb-overs
nowadays...

...in September, she posted to TV Land's web site that she's writing a
book. Apparently, she's been doing a lot of things outside of showbiz, and
having a moderate bit of success at them (among them, she once co-owned a
boutique on Pier 39 in San Francisco)...

Of course she is writing a book, why didn't I jump to that conclusion?

Nice to read that she is, and has been, doing well since her child star
years. Often that is not the case. Ask Paul Petersen.

...I think Petersen's organisation is one of the things Dawn Lyn has been
involved with at some point...actually, I'd rather ask Danny Bonaduce than
Petersen. Not that the answer would be any more truthful, but it sure
would be more entertaining...

Paul is a nice guy and really does work hard for the child actors and former
child stars. I respect him for that.

Despite his demons, Danny is a good guy too. I am surprised at his courage.

Either of their stories would be revealing and heartbreaking, but Danny's is
pretty well known by now.

...Danny's doing some shows on Howard Stern's Sirius channels this week.
I'm listening to the mp3s of it posted on the Stern binary newsgroup. It's
light years better than Howard himself is doing...

I know this is an old post, and maybe you know by now. Leif's mother has cancer and has been battling it for quite some time now. So I think the drug comment was pretty out there. Leif has a problem, but he's trying to get better. Don't know how he is doing at the moment, but glad he is trying.

As for Dawn Lyn, she is doing well and is still in Hawaii with her husband. She did an interview over there last year and she has a website where fans can talk to her. I haven't seen or heard anything of a book from her. I know that their mother wrote a book called Like Puppets on a String or something like that and were trying to get a kickstarter program started, but appears that kind of fell flat because nothing more has been heard about it since November, then Leif said he was writing a book when he went on The Talk to rebutt what Sharon Osborne said about him living under a bridge. No word on that book either.

Leif does work and often records with other artists as well. He should not have made known all of his private stuff because he might have been better off that way.

And since Danny B. was also mentioned on the page, he is doing very well also. His newest wife, though they have been together a long time now, seems to be a good influence on him and from what he has said, she takes not stuff off him. Please wish all of these people well instead of looking for ways to knock them down further than they have already been in their life. Thanks.
