The Associated Press this morning reported the death of
Prince Almoataz bin Saud bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.

He was aged 44,and lived in McLean,Virginia...he was one
of the youngest of the 50-plus sons of King Saud bin
Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia (lived c. 1902-1969,reigned
1953-64).He had recently worked as a Washington Embassy-based
recruiter for the Saudi National Guard,in which he had served,
but the job was abolished after a few years.

He is not among the scores of sons of King Saud listed
in the appendices to Robert Lacey's THE KINGDOM,unless a
quite different spelling variant is used.

I don't think any of King Saud's sons have held prominent
positions since King Faisal pushed their father out,but
they and their sons remain Royal Highnesses,THEIR sons Highnesses,
and their male line descendants ad infinitum Princes as I understand
the Saudi rules.

The World Trade Center towers MUST rise again,
at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.

Was he one of the McLean Saudis who kept house slaves?

The Almanach de Bruxelles site lists the following...
HRH Pce Muaatiz al Saud bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud
the 48th son, sounds about right.
