When did Bobby Ramsen die? I am unable to find anything on the Internet about his passing either under "Ramsen" or his birth name "Abramson."
Bobby attended as a guest for the last few "Friends of Old Time Radio" conventions; however, since the 2011 demise of that event, I've lost contact with him.
As a point of reference, Bobby Ramsen was a child radio actor on such programmes as "Let's Pretend," "The Eternal Light," and "Coast to Coast on a Bus." As an adult, he was a comedian of the Borscht Belt-Friars' Club-Merv Griffin Show variety. I just saw him a couple of weeks ago on a late 1970s rerun of "Norm Crosby's 'The Comedy Shop'" (available on the Decades Channel, Monday through Fridays at 12 Midnight following the Ed Sullivan reruns).
Ramsen, also, was a TV actor, usually in sitcoms, throughout the 1970s and 1980s. He showed up in about six or seven episodes of "The Bob Newhart Show" each time in an entirely different role (he portrayed the landlord in the show's finale). Sometime in the 1990s, the Nick at Nite cable network published a book with episode guides to a batch of their sitcoms at the time ("Bewitched"; "Dick Van Dyke"; "Mary Ty;er Moore"; "Welcome Back, Kotter"; etc.). In the chapter/episode guide for "Bob Newhart," the author(s) referred to Bobby something to the effect of being "the most versatile player in 'The Bob Newhart Show' stock company.
If anybody has any pertinent info on Bobby Ramsen's passing, please post it here.
Thanks in advance.
