LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Deloreese Daniels Owens, the adopted daughter of "Touched
by an Angel'' star Della Reese, died Thursday. Owens was 41.
Owens' body was found Wednesday in a bed at her Los Angeles-area home on
Wednesday, said Reese's publicist, Jennifer Pinto.
The cause of death was not immediately known, but Owens had been suffering from
a pituitary dysfunction that made her sensitive to infections. The disorder
had required hospitalization on three previous occasions.
Reese, 70, adopted Owens in 1961, naming the girl after herself. Owens was a
radio operator technician.
Reese has three other grown children.
