Dave M Quaife's final Facebook post, dated April 12, reads cryptically:

Replies to the post indicate that David Quaife was injured in a car accident while driving to pick up family members from the airport, then suffered kidney and liver failure.
Pete Quaife (1943 - 2010) was the founding bassist for The Kinks and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His brother David, based out of Chelmsford, England, was the Founding Executive Director of the Pete Quaife Foundation, which raised money to support children on dialysis.
