A MEMORIAL service was held May 8, 2003, at St Paul's Church, Covent
Garden, to celebrate the life of the musician Lonnie Donegan. The Rev
Mark Oakley officiated.

Miss Corrina Donegan, Mr Peter Donegan, Mr Anthony Donegan, Miss Sam
Brown, Mr Chas McDevitt, Dr Graham Jackson, Mr Melvin Roberts and Mr
Peter Oakman paid tribute.

Ms Sharon Donegan read her poem Missing You and Mr Brian May,
accompanied by Mr Peter Donegan and Lonnie's Group, sang I'm Just A
Rolling Stone.

Mr Peter Donegan, Mr Anthony Donegan and Lonnie's Group played Have a
Drink on Me.

It was one of the first records I ever owned. I rememeber my brother
actually tried putting his chewing gum on the bedpost overnight.

It did, indeed, lose its flavor.

I tried that. Very satisfying, emotionally, but I found I could only stand
the taste of uncooked pigeon for a couple of days.
