His photo from Gomer Pyle USMC. But I sure did run into some
*unexepecteds* while doing a Google image search for "Roy Stuart."

> Roy Stuart, best known for playing Corporal Boyle on GOMER PYLE USMC, died
> Sunday, December 25. He was a longtime member of my theatre company,
> Theatre West, in Los Angeles. I don't yet know details but a funeral is
> being held tomorrow, Dec. 27 at Eden Mortuary in Mission Hills, California.
I thought he was good as Boyle and I remember him well. I recall he was
replaced by a returning Ronnie Schell after a few years. Sorry to hear of
his passing.

I had to wade through numerous images of that type on Google before I
got to what I was looking for. If he's not the same Roy Stuart, it
certainly appears that he is.
Jack
Anyway...
IMDB states that Mr. Stuart appeared in a number of adult films in the
early 1980s. Does anyone know if this is true or just another IMDB goof.
Relax. This is the 3rd time it's showed up for me. <g>

Jim, was this Roy Stuart the same person who was involved in some
porn? The imdb is not that reliable, as you know.
Happy Holidays,
I don't. Does anyone know if these so-called porn titles are real porn, or
are they soft stuff like The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood? Often such films
had occasional "legitimate" actors in supporting (and non-sexual) roles.
Perhaps this is the case with Stuart.

I think because Stuart had such a common name the imdb screwed up and gave
one set of credits for two actors. Not the first time.
JN
There is at least one "real porn"
> Jim,
>
> There is at least one "real porn"
But it might be a different Roy Stuart. imdb will often give two (or three)
actors with the same name only one set of credits.
For instance if you look up Dick Nelson, whose only film credit is Great
Guns (1941), you will find credits for Dick Nelson the teleplay writer and
Dick Nelson the voice over actor all lumped in with the one who appered in
Great Guns.

Search Google Images for Roy Stuart and tell us what you think of the
first several rows of results.
Jack
Different Roy Stuart.
As to the results themselves, I am disinclined to further forgo my enjoyment
of said results in order to prolong discussion of them.

...I _think_ I comprehend that comment, in a sideways sort of way...

I thought he was trying to say he liked the porno pictures he was
looking at on the way to an actual image of Roy Stuart. <g>

The converse is also true, IMDB will have two entries for the same person.
The bowler Dick Weber is one, unless there were two Dick Webers who were
born on the same day, died on the same day, and were both professional
bowlers.
Now that I check, it seems they finally fixed his entries.
And now I see they did the same thing with columnist Jack Anderson. Jack V
and VI were both born in 1922 and both died on the same day.
