Sherry L. Wright Actress, Singer

Sherry Louise Wright, 51, an actress and singer, died July 11 [2009] at her
home in Alexandria. The Virginia medical examiner said the cause of death
was under investigation and had not been determined.

Ms. Wright was born in Washington and attended Largo High School before
moving to New York City, where she graduated from the Professional
Children's School in 1975.

She performed in dinner theater productions in the Washington and
Philadelphia areas and appeared on a TV series, "Mulligan Stew,"
co-sponsored by 4-H clubs and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, to teach
schoolchildren about nutrition.

She joined a show band after completing school, but a series of illnesses
prevented her from performing. She worked briefly for Crown Books in
Alexandria and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in
Alexandria.

Ms. Wright's survivors include her companion, Arthur Finke of Alexandria; a
daughter from a previous relationship, Sarah Beth Hope Schutt of Herndon; a
son from her relationship with Finke, Arthur James Finke of Herndon; her
father, James L. Wright of Annapolis; her mother, Louise M. Wright of
Alexandria; and a brother, W. Kenneth Miller of Port Republic.
