Here's a follow-up:

Linda McCartney's ex-husband dies at 62

Mar. 21, 2000 10:29

TUCSON - The former husband of Linda McCartney, often thought to have
inspired the character Jo-Jo in a 1969 Beatles song, died at age 62.
Joseph Melville See Jr. filmed the indigenous people of Mexico as an
anthropologist but was best known for his marriage to the woman who
would eventually marry legendary Beatle Paul McCartney.
Friends told te Arizona Daily Star that See died of a self-inflicted
gunshot wound on Sunday.
"This is such a shock. It's a huge loss for everyone who knew him," said
Debra Zeller, an art historian and one of See's closest friends.
See was the father of Heather McCartney, Linda's eldest daughter. Paul
McCartney adopted Heather when he married Linda in 1969.
For years, See was the subject of persistent rumors that he was the
real-life Jo-Jo in the Beatles' hit song "Get Back," which says "Jo-Jo
left his home in Tucson, Arizona, for some California grass."
Zeller said Linda McCartney's 1998 death from breast cancer hit See
"really, really hard." She died at the McCartney ranch in Tucson.

ahhh....! I was wondering if that was it.

Now, I'm wondering if he's related to the See's Candies family?

His death comes suspiciously soon after her will was read and he
wasn't in it...just a thought.
