Lord Churston, the 5th Baron, died 16 February, 2023, aged 88. It would have been his role to bear one of the golden spurs at the Coronation of King Charles III on May 6.

There is an online story that rather oddly declares that his death
means the family will not be represented at the impending Coronation
rather than its being his son who will do so...is there some rotation
among spurbearers that is now triggered?
(Also, rather annoyingly, the acting Lord Great Chamberlain is said to
have been told he had to fill out an online form rather than being
automatically entitled to participate...I wish one of his cousins
who was actually a co-heir to that office had been tasked with it
but as it is hereditary responsibilities should be respected).

The World Trade Center towers MUST rise again,
at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.

The right to bear the spurs is I think split now between the Lords Hastings and Churston, both descended from the Lords Grey de Ruthyn. It remains to be seen whether a representative of the Churston's will take part. I think a big shake up is under way.

It is not a matter of one spur each?

With all the talk of "downsizing" that will never be enough for
the slavering crowd of republicans,I despair of a monarchy that
seems to think itself ethically forbidden to act in self-defense.
