Alabama writer Dr. Ellen Tarry?

I don't have any real reason to believe she's dead, aside from one link
that refers to her in the past tense but that offers no proof as to why
they do. If alive, she'd be turning 100 next year.

She's also a journalist, civil servant, social worker, and educator.

Well, I could find no Ellen Tarry on the Social Security Death Index,
so it seems she's still alive at 99.

Thanks, I hope you're right. (Some of those registries are very
strange. One reasonably famous writer was listed as having died a year
later than he really did.)

I've just done a SSDI search on the victims of the JFK Jr. plane crash.
No Kennedies of the correct age are shown to have died on 16 July 1999,
but Lauren Bessette is listed as having died on that day.

She was married to my great uncle and good friends to my grandmother. If anyone has questions that perhaps I can answer, don't hesitate to ask.

Also, according to Intelius, her daughter Elizabeth Tarry Patton is 71. Is she alive? Any grandchildren? Great-grandchildren?
