Donald Tatro
Donald Tatro, 69, of Scottsdale, AZ, died Friday, June 18, 2004. He was born
September 17, 1934 in Chicago, IL. Don is survived by his wife, B.J.;
daughter, Jill; nieces, Heather Ceresoli and Trilby Tatro; nephew, Stan

And From the amateur writer, me:
Don Tatro passed away on Friday, June 18, 2004.
Long time friend of the computer graphics Usenet community Don Tatro is well
known for his creation "Creepy Clown" A graphic image that spread thru the
internet graphics community like wildfire. He was very well known for his
own creative talents. There are few who could match his skill with the
computer programs Bryce 3D and Poser. And his prolific ability to create
several very original images a day. He is remembered for his kindness and
generosity. Willing to share any information about making graphics and how
to use a computer graphics program. Don was always the voice of reason in
any Usenet flame war.
Before retiring he was a clinical psychologist in Arizona. He specialized in
forensic psychology. Don was the guy that saw the worst humanity had to
offer.

"I have done intensive psychological evaluations of well over a thousand
people charged with criminal offenses of every kind and testified in court
as an expert witness on countless occasions."

Here are several fascinating images he called "Psychopics" he developed to
depict the human disorder.

Don assembled a huge web site of images with Creepy Clown as interpreted by
himself and almost 500 other artists.

This is a great personal loss, he will be sorely missed by family and many,
many computer graphic artists he only knew online.

Thanks for the news, the nicely written obit and the links.
Above all, thanks for the clown reference. It was rather
timely, I think.
