Ya gotta wonder how the habitually soft-spoken Roibert "Bud" McFarlane felt--if he ever bothered to watch (either originally or in replay) the closing credits of the Carlin-hosted premier of SNL on Saturday, October 11, 1975--when EVERY listed producer's, writer's, etc. name was for some unfathomable reason credited with the nickname "Bud" in quotes (and which I always figured--but haven't yet been able to confirm--was the genesis of Letterman stooge Larry "Bud" Melman's stage-name)
